These are the personal benefits i've experienced during the past five years:


1. Reduced Stress

The more constant time i spent in forests, the calmer i became.


2. Improved Relationships

The calmer i was, more positive, peaceful and kinder my interactions with friends, family, and strangers became.


3. More Positive Days

As my interactions with others become kinder and more peaceful, i have found that my day-to-day life has become more joyful. I have also noticed a shift in the world around me, with people seeming more collaborative and supportive.


4. Improved Sleep

Since i have become more peaceful and excited about the world, i have noticed a significant improvement in the quality of my sleep.


5. Increased Productivity & Focus

As a result of better sleep and a more positive outlook on the world, i have found myself becoming more creative and enthusiastic about learning and creating. This has manifested in various ways, such as painting, contributing to building Secure Internet Voting, growing vegetables, reading and learning extensively, engaging in thoughtful debates, and going on adventures.


6. Stronger Emotional Resilience

Although there are still moments when i feel angry about news, crave sugar, get frustrated when i overeat, feel sad when people refuse to listen, innovate & make assumptions, or get annoyed when i encounter coding errors, i have found that i am becoming better at catching myself in the heat of the moment and observing these emotions without generating more negativity. For instance, if i used to feel angry for 10 hours, now it only lasts for 5. I've claimed 5 hours of my life!


7. Useful Medicines

Breathing clean air is a source of great enjoyment for me, and i am grateful for trees, which produce oxygen and absorb CO2 to help maintain a healthy environment.

Drinking clean water is also important to me, and i appreciate the role that trees play in supporting healthy watersheds.

Moreover, i am thankful for the scientists who have discovered the health benefits of plants and trees, such as aspirin, quinine for malaria, licorice root for cough drops, taxol for breast, lung, and ovarian cancer, and the ephedra plant for treating asthma and low blood pressure.


8. Eating Less & Healthful

Following my morning walk, i become more aware and careful of the food i eat and the general eating habits. I consciously avoid distractions such as watching videos or listening to podcasts while eating, which helps me slow down and eat less.
